Rolls-Royce Despatches Trent 7000 engines for A330neo

The dispatch of the first batch of Rolls-Royce Trent 7000 engine has been completed. The engines were transported from the Rolls-Royce site at Derby, UK.

Safran will complete the fitment of the nacelles and powerplant integration at its facility in Toulouse, France, following which the engines will be installed on the aircraft at Airbus during the Summer.

The Trent 7000 is the exclusive powerplant for the A330neo and is the seventh member of the Trent engine.

The Trent 7000 features the latest technology from the Trent XWB and the engine architecture from the Trent 1000 TEN and makes use of the extensive RR experience on the Trent 700, which is the engine of choice for the current A330.
